How does the E-mail Breach Monitor work?

In three steps, fully automatic after the initial setup

1

Connect your domain

Enter your domain name (e.g. yourcompany.nl). We automatically link all known e-mail addresses of your organisation to the monitor.

2

Daily automatic scan

Every day your addresses are compared against millions of leaked datasets, from known hacks at LinkedIn, Adobe, Facebook and hundreds of other sources.

3

Immediate alert + advice

When there is a match, you receive an immediate alert showing which address was found, in which breach, and what you should do right away to limit the damage.

What is detected?

Passwords

When a password has been leaked in cleartext or as a hash. We immediately advise a password change and MFA setup.

E-mail address + source

Which e-mail address was found and in which dataset (e.g. "LinkedIn 2021" or "Facebook 2019"). Including the date of the breach.

Type of data

Personal data, phone numbers, addresses or payment details leaked together with the e-mail address, so you can assess the impact.

Historical breaches

The first scan also includes historical data breaches, breaches from years ago can still be actively abused today.

Manage via the ZETA portal

Via my.zeta.nl you manage all monitored addresses, view the scan history and set notifications for your entire organisation.

  • Add and remove e-mail addresses
  • Full scan history per address

Why act now?

Leaked credentials are sold on the dark web and used for credential stuffing: automated attacks where thousands of websites are tried with your details.

A breach from 3 years ago can still be actively abused today, even if your employee no longer has an account with that service.
